LVE
Lightweight Virtual Environment (LVE) is a kernel technology developed by CloudLinux. This secure and isolated environment is known to improve stability by enclosing each client.
A lone server can effortlessly bring a server down by exhausting all CPU, memory and IO resources. LVE technology averts this by letting the host set up individual resource limits. This way, users can never use more than given resources.
LVE integrates at the server, pluggable authentication modules (PAM), and database levels to prevent any attacks of any kind. The main aim of LVE is to make sure that no single website can bring down the server.

CageFS
Usage of Linux by a large number of unchecked users means it is highly prone to hacking. A hacker can obtain customer information and access the server through customer accounts with ease. Clearing up a hacked server is an ordeal.
To prevent this, CloudLinux OS has CageFS. CageFS is a virtualized, per-user file system. It particularly envelops each customer, forbidding users from viewing each other and obtaining delicate information. CageFS averts different kinds of attacks, including information disclosure attacks. It is fully transparent to the customers and does not require them to change their scripts.
Assets of CageFS
- Users can access only safe files.
- Users can stay undetected from other users.
- Users cannot access server configuration files.
- Users have a defined view of their processing file system and cannot see other’s processes.
This ingenious technology only allows safe binaries to be available to the users. It prevents significant link attacks. A user’s terrain is fully functional and not restricted in any way, even with this extended safety measures. CageFS is not only clear cut to the end-user but also impenetrable to a hacker.
